4Cr13 steel codenamed S-136 is a martensitic stainless steel with good machining properties. After heat treatment (quenching and tempering), it has excellent corrosion resistance, polishing properties, high strength and wear resistance . It is suitable for manufacturing plastic molds that withstand high loads, high wear resistance and corrosive media , transparent plastic product molds, etc., such as hot oil pumps , valve plates , valve bearings, medical equipment, springs and other parts.
Composition: C：0.36～0.48；Si≤0.60；Mn: ≤0.80；Cr: 12.00～14.00；Ni:≤0.60
● Mechanical properties : Hardness: Annealing, ≤201HB, indentation diameter 3.9～4.3mm; Quenching ,≥50HRC
●Heat treatment specifications and metallographic structure :
Heat treatment specifications: (1) Annealing, slow cooling at 800-900℃ or rapid cooling at about 750℃; (2) Quenching, oil cooling at 1050-1100℃
; (3) Tempering, rapid cooling at 200-300℃.
Metallographic structure: The organizational characteristics are martensite .
